Meet the Team: Q & A with Jill
If you’ve been to NorthPoint Pets lately, you’ve probably met Jill—she’s up front helping customers, learning from her team, and sneaking in extra love from the dogs that walk through the door. We sat down with her to learn more about her role, what she loves most about NPP, and of course, the pets that run her household.
1. What is your role at NPP?
I mainly work in the front of the store. In addition to “mastering” the point of sale system (lol), I spend most of my time listening and learning from my coworkers who are so knowledgeable about pet health and nutrition. There’s so much to know, and I learn something new every time I work!
2. What do you enjoy most about working at NPP?
Of course, the wagging tails and puppy dog eyes are a big positive, but honestly, I truly enjoy the people I’m working with. Everyone has been very welcoming and supportive. They’re always happy to help and no question is ever silly. At least that’s what they tell me. lol! I feel very lucky to be part of the NPP team.
3. What do you do in your free time?
I’m a bit of a homebody. I love decorating my home to create a cozy space for my family to gather.
I also enjoy taking Pilates classes and walking while listening to audiobooks. But my favorite pastime is spending time with my dogs Peter & Blondie. You can find us walking the neighborhood in the warmer months or lounging on the couch watching Hallmark Christmas movies from November to January.
4. Tell us about your pets!
Peter is approximately 3 years old and Blondie is 2. They are both mostly Chihuahua, with lots of other breeds mixed in. Peter is a whopping 10 lbs, and he is proud to say he’s 5% German Shepherd. lol! They were both found on the streets of California before coming to CT to be adopted. We adopted them together, however they are not related and hadn’t even met one another until the day we adopted them. In hindsight, I realize this could have gone very wrong, but luckily it did not. They absolutely love each other and are inseparable!
5. Must have NPP item?
That’s really a question for Peter & Blondie.
Peter: “I like any small toy with a squeaker. I have a huge collection that keeps getting bigger now that my Mom works at the greatest store ever!”
Blondie: “I can’t live without my Nylabones and those Yak sticks are pretty awesome too.”
Jill’s passion for learning, community, and, of course, pets make her an invaluable part of our team. Whether Jill’s helping customers or sharing a laugh, she brings warmth and enthusiasm to everything she does.
